Welcome to the Prime Contractor Area

The purpose of the Prime Contractor Topic Idea Generation Area is to:

• Provide primes the opportunity to make PEOs and other Air Force organizations aware of promising SBIR/STTR topic suggestions.
• Develop topic ideas that meet the Prime Contractor’s R&D needs in roadmaps that are aligned to Air Force/Department of Defense requirements.
• Identify topic ideas that have a high likelihood of transitioning into an Air Force/Department of Defense system or subsystem, thereby increasing commercialization outcomes.

The Prime Contractor Area is limited for use by Prime Contractors and major subcontractors that actively support Air Force and Department of Defense SBIR/STTR programs. A large business wishing to provide SBIR/STTR topic ideas should send its request to info@afsbirsttr.com. Questions may also be referred to the Air Force SBIR/STTR web site Manager. [Note: the Prime Contractor Area is not accessible by small businesses; this area should not be confused with the Small Business Area which is open to eligible small businesses.]

For Prime Contractors already assigned login privileges, questions concerning routine password or access matters should be referred to afprogram@afsbirsttr.net.
